Yesterday's pic today

Not everyone is invited to a tea party hosted by the trio - but Miss Donna is pretty special and they certainly put on a show for her.

BUSTED

How do my kids get black eyes? Not by fighting. Not by falling off a jungle gym. Not by jumping off the bed. No....none of these things. They were running to get their mittens. Let's just say that Hannah didn't quite make it. And the worst part about it? They didn't even need mittens today!!!!! Oy Vey!

March 24

I'm slacking on the pics on the girls blog. We'll get back into the swing of things soon. Until then - I'll answer some questions. Some from the blog and some from the email.

How do I keep their hats and glasses on? I don't. They do. I have been putting hats and glasses on them since the beginning of last summer. I figured if they got use to it early enough -they wouldn't know any different. It seems to have worked. They love wearing them because it keeps the sun out of their eyes...which they don't like at all. (Try driving 20 minutes into the sun every morning for a week and hearing 'Sun eye! Sun eye! Sun eye!). LOL - I didn't care how much the hats and glasses cost - it was worth every penny!

How do I/we get out of the house on time everyday? Teamwork. I get a lot ready at night. What I don't get ready at night - Pete picks up on in the morning. If one of us is having an off day...our morning is rough. Lately - the mornings have been rough.

What frustrates me the most about having triplets? Not being able to hold them as much as I want. Not being able to have one on one time with them. It's frustrating to me but I know they don't know any different. They'll have each other as best friends for life.

How do I get through the day? Family and friends. I'm not dumb enough to believe that Pete and I are raising these triplets alone. We have a whole network of people that help. They might not be physically here watching the girls or helping clean up - but they help in other ways. Keeping us sane is part of helping for sure! You have no idea how much an email or text message can brighten up my day!!!

Last one for the night - Do Pete and I get any alone time together? Not much. And it sucks. But we had 13 years of alone time before having kids...so we have a bank of memories that we dive into and remember. And funny enough - we always say we wasted so much time when we didn't have kids! We know how much we can get done in a day now - but if you asked us that before having kids...we'd have said it was impossible. LOL

March 19

Hannah loves to read. No matter what she's doing or where she is - if you take out a book she's happy to join you or even take the book and read it to you. In a lot of the kids books there is a page either in the very beginning or at the very end that has smaller size pictures of things in the book. She loves when we point to something on that page and ask her to look through the book to find it. She will find it too. She'll study each page carefully making sure she doesn't miss something. Sometimes Hailey or Emily spot it before her - and surprisingly enough she doesn't get mad about that. She's just happy that the picture was found. ;-)
PS - that's sidewalk chalk on my butt. Enough said.

March 18

Auntie Kim came for a visit tonight - she got to see the whole night time 'thing' we do! From playing outside to eating dinner to getting into trouble to taking a bath to reading our books and brushing teeth and reading more books and then off to bed. It was fun. :)

March 6

I think it's March 6th...but no pic to post today. I'm home...and listening to Hailey cry OUT of her bed saying 'my mama baby' which in Hailey terms means she wants mama to pick her up so she can be 'mama's baby' for now. I'm on it..............

Did somebody say McDonald's

We're getting away with so much while mommy is in the hospital. We miss mommy so much and want her to come home but until she does we have daddy right where we want him.

Mommy has boo boo

The girls are good. They have been at Grandma's house since Tuesday. Mommy has a boo boo and is in the hospital. I brought the girls to see mommy today. They were so happy to see mommy. Uncle Joey and I brought the girls home we fed them and put them down for a nap. So glad they are home they need to be home. Mommy will come home in a couple days. See our 365 Days In Our Shoes blog for more details.

March 2

It's funny - I don't have a pic of the girls today so I said 'let me put the exact post up that I put up this date one year ago today'. LOL - it's not a good post but ironically enough...I read it and we DID 'revisit' some of these memories. Pete and I just had a long email conversation just yesterday about the girls NICU days. We both agreed - we're so happy the girls are 2 now! So here's the post...

GOT MILK?

These were taken Friday....but a need to fill the day with some cuteness has arisen so here you go........
And if you're wondering why Hannah doesn't have a milk mustache - well - she's Hannah and what kind of Princess would she be if she were to let herself get messy?
